About
Classical Hugs International Chamber Orchestra presents an orchestral festival, with 2 concerts in Southern France celebrating the French National Holiday - Bastille Day. Classical Hugs International Chamber Orchestra is made up of members of top European orchestras: Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (United Kingdom), Lyon Symphony Orchestra (France), Granada Orchestra (Spain), and others. Led by Italian Conductor and composer, Giovanni Ferrauto, the project presents the program "From Italy with Love", which celebrates Italian culture.
We invite talented string instrumentalists to join us in celebrating Bastille Day and Italian Culture and to perform with elite European instrumentalists.

Eligibility, Selection, and Application.
We will accept 11 instrumentalists: 9 violinists, 1 violist, 1 cellist, and 1 double bass player as a result of video recordings, submitted with your application (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.). As a result of recordings, 3 participants will receive full scholarships to study and perform in the Bastille Day project. 8 participants will be invited with a participation cost of €250 to be paid to Classical Hugs by April 1, 2022.

Video recording requirements.
We don't have strict requirements on the timing of video recording; it can be a short solo or a full concerto. You may submit 1 or several recordings. Your recording(s) can be solo, with a piano accompaniment, or with an orchestra. Most importantly, your recording(s) should represent your best ability on the instrument.
It's completely FREE to submit an application. Notification of acceptance - March 25, 2022.
We accept musicians of all ages and from all nationalities.

Accommodation, Food, Transportation.
Classical Hugs International Chamber Orchestra will cover full accommodation in separate rooms, food (3 meals per day), and bus transportation between all cities or the festival France. The festival will also provide transportation by bus to and from Lyon airport. These conditions will be offered to ALL 11 participants.

Travel to France.
Classical Hugs International Chamber Orchestra will not cover flights to and from France. All participants must arrive at Lyon airport on July 12, 2002. The departure date is July 16 or July 17, if you would like to stay 1 more day and listen to 2 piano concerts. For participants living in France, we can provide transportation within Lyon/Marseille region.

Schedule
July 12 - morning/afternoon - Arrival at Lyon Airport, France - bus to the city of Tricastin.
Evening - rehearsal at Castle of Tricastin.
July 13 - morning rehearsal; afternoon - departure to the city of Ecully.
- 18:00 - dress rehearsal at Ecully park (tent, microphones, lighting, stands, and page holders will be provided).
- 21:00 - Open Air Concert at Ecully park.
- 22:30 - We play French National Hymn, arranged for strings by Michael Bulychev-Auxerre.
- 22:45 - City Fireworks & Disco offered to all participants.
July 14 - Free day for all orchestra in Tricastin ~ Bastille Holiday festivities, carnival, food & drinks.
July 15 - 13:00 - Dress Rehearsal at Castle of Tricastin.
- 20:00 - Concert at Tricastin (indoors). Same repertoire as in Ecully.
July 16 - 20:00 - Suze la Rousse - Solo Concert by Michael Bulychev-Auxerre, piano (United States)
- 22:00 - Two-pianos concert.
July 17 - Departure

Program includes
- 2 Orchestral concerts - at Ecully and Castle of Tricastin.
- 3 Rehearsals.
- Selected participants will receive solo section during performance of Scherzo-Suite sur des thèmes populaires d'Opera italiens, by Michael Bulychev-Auxerre - final work of both concerts.
- Video recording of both concerts - available for download.
- Photoshoot at the end of each concert.
- Lodging as 1 person per room, meals, and transportation.
- Practicing hours (in Tricastin).
- Participation Diplomas for everyone.
